After Marseille rejected Fernando Llorente, the Spaniard could reportedly leave Premier League outfit Spurs for another Ligue 1 club.

Tottenham Hotspur seem intent on getting rid of Fernando Llorente before the transfer window shuts. But this is perhaps proving more difficult than expected.

According to France Football, Marseille have rejected the chance to sign the 33-year-old targetman on loan, despite the fact the Europa League finalists have made no secret of their desire to bring in a new number nine with Mario Balotelli and Moussa Dembele among those linked.

France Football added that Llorente has instructed his advisors to find him a new club after a difficult debut season in North London – and it seems that Spurs are only too happy to grease the wheels in order to get the Spaniard to move elsewhere.

As reported by Info Mercato, Tottenham have now offered the former Juventus and Athletic Bilbao striker to another Ligue 1 club who are searching for a new striker – Bordeaux.

The 2009 league champions have also been offered the chance to bring in Napoli’s Poland international Arkadiusz Milik (above), who has struggled badly with injuries over the last two seasons.

It remains to be seen, however, whether Bordeaux would be willing to hand Llorente a fresh start.

The former Spain international only joined Tottenham for £12 million last summer after a 15 goal Premier League season with Swansea, according to Sky Sports. But he started just one league game for Spurs.
