Injury-hit Premier League challengers Spurs could reportedly move for Atletico Madrid’s out-of-favour La Liga striker Nikola Kalinic.

Injury-hit Tottenham Hotspur could offer Nikola Kalinic an escape route out of Atletico Madrid this month, according to Marca.
The Croatian international is not the first big-name striker to struggle under Diego Simeone at the 2014 La Liga champions.
Kalinic arrived for £13 million from AC Milan last summer but, like Jackson Martinez, Raul Jimenez, Luciano Vietto and Mario Mandzukic before him, is seemingly finding life hard under the famously demanding Argentine coach.
The 31-year-old has started just five league games, scoring twice, with Antoine Griezmann still Simone’s go-to man.
And, according to Marca, Kalinic could be free to leave the Wanda Metropolitano with Tottenham, who will be without Harry Kane until March and lost Heung-Min Son to the Asian Cup recently, understood to be interested.

The report adds that the former Fiorentina target man is also a target for Thierry Henry’s crisis-ridden Monaco though he is not keen on a move to France. Valencia, who have found goals hard to come by all season despite being able to call upon Rodrigo, Kevin Gameiro, Santi Mina and co, are also interested
Kalinic has played in England before, representing Blackburn Rovers between 2009 and 2011, though he scored just 13 times for the Lancashire club.
