Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking at Serie A for Toby Alderweireld’s replacement, with Luiz Felipe and Joachim Andersen their top targets.

Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to Lazio’s Luiz Felipe as they scour the market for a new centre-half, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
Spurs appear to be preparing for life without their commanding Belgian international Toby Alderweireld, who will be available for just £25 million this summer thanks to a very affordable release clause in his contract (the Independent).
And it seems the North London outfit are looking at Serie A – which has proved a breeding ground for some of the world’s best defenders over the years – for a replacement.
TMW claims that Spurs have been keeping tabs on Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen, but the Dane has admitted that he wants to stay in Italy for one more season.

As a result, Luiz Felipe has emerged as an alternative option. The 22-year-old joined Lazio from Ituano in 2016, although he is still not a guaranteed starter, featuring in just 13 Serie A games this season for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
But Felipe is valued at £17 million, which is around £5 million less than Sampdoria would demand for Andersen.
With funds tight at Tottenham, don’t be surprised if Felipe emerges as their number one target.
