Max Meyer could move to the Premier League when he leaves Bundesliga giants Schalke, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly interested.

Leon Goretzka is not the only German midfield prodigy who will leave Schalke this summer.
While Goretzka has signed a pre-contract agreement with Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, Max Meyer also looks set to depart the Veltins Arena on a free.
The 22-year-old’s deal expires this summer after nine years at the Gelsenkirchen giants and he already looks to have played his final game for the club. Meyer was suspended for the last two matches of the campaign after allegedly accusing Schalke executives of ‘bullying’, as reported by DW.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the technical midfielder to Anfield but Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat, who worked with Klopp at Dortmund, is reportedly lining up a bid to beat his former colleague to the German international.
Interestingly, the Gambling Times add that Tottenham are considering offering Meyer a contract, too, despite seemingly slipping out of the running in recent weeks.

Tottenham have been linked with Meyer for at least two years now. BILD stated that the North London giants were prepared to offer a staggering £38 million bid on the final day of the summer 2016 transfer window, and two years later they could nab him for free.
The Gambling Times adds that Bayern Munich and Schalke’s bitter rivals Dortmund are keen to keep Meyer in the Bundesliga, while Atletico Madrid and Monaco are keen to lure him to Spain and France respectively.
