Watford could be tempted to sell Richarlison, with Tottenham Hotspur allegedly keen, but only if they are willing to pay £50million.

It is fair to say Watford are reaping the rewards after taking a punt on a little known Brazilian forward by the name of Richarlison.

The 20-year-old arrived at Vicarage Road with just two seasons of senior football under his belt in Brazil’s Serie A and via a hefty fee of £11.5 million, as reported by The Guardian. But Watford could be rewarded with a substantial return on their investment.

Because after just a few months with the Hornets, it seems certain that Watford will make a huge profit on the former Fluminense youngster.

As reported by the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have been regular visitors to Vicarage Road this season as they send scouts to closely monitor Richarlison’s frequently impresive displays on the left of the Watford attack.

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a huge admirer, although he will need chairman Daniel Levy to put his hand deep into his pocket if he wants to lure Richarlison to North London at the end of this season.

According to Brazilian publication UOL, Watford could be tempted to cash in on their prized asset in the summer, provided that any interested party offer £50 million for a player with just 24 Premier League games under his belt.

Spurs, then, will have to exceed the £42 million they splashed out on Ajax’s Davinson Sanchez in the summer.

The report adds that London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are keen. And with Richarlison seemingly tweeting his displeasure in emoji form after Watford sacked manager Marco Silva on Sunday, you wonder whether a move is indeed on the cards.

£50 million means the Hornets are due a decent profit.
