It is well documented that the Danish midfielder is close to entering the final year of his contract and Spurs have so far failed to tie him down to a long-term deal. It goes without seeing that losing Eriksen to Stamford Bridge is something that could have Tottenham fans waking up in a cold sweat.
The report adds that Jose Mourinho was keen to bring Eriksen to Old Trafford during his time at Manchester United but it remains to be seen what the Portuguese’s departure means for a club who have been rejuvenated since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over.
