Joachim Andersen’s impressive Serie A form with Sampdoria has reportedly caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are starting to get their season back on track again after losing three successive games under Mauricio Pochettino for the first time. Nonetheless, it seems that Spurs’ squad could do with a couple of additions in order to deal with European and domestic commitments.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Danish defender Joachim Andersen has emerged as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old is plying his trade in Italy with Sampdoria having moved to the Genoa-based club from FC Twente back in 2017, and he has developed into one of the most impressive young defenders in Serie A in the last year.
Andersen, who is yet to make his international bow for Denmark, has started all six of Samp’s league games in 2018/19, with Marco Giampaolo’s side conceding just three goals in that time. Spurs are understood to have watched him several times this season.

He would not come cheap for Tottenham, considering that the youngster has a contract until 2021.
Tottenham’s interest in the technically gifted centre-back will surely add to the speculation about Toby Alderweireld’s future, given that the Belgian international is still yet to extend a contract that is currently due to expire next summer.
