Wilfried Bony could leave Graham Potter’s Championship outfit Swansea City for the Chinese Super League in the January transfer window.

It is fair to say Wilfried Bony’s second spell at Swansea City hasn’t been anywhere near as successful as the first.
Since returning the Liberty Stadium for £12 million in 2017 after a poor spell at Manchester City (BBC), the striker has struggled with a constant series of injuries. He has made just one Championship start all season, scoring a single goal.
And, given that Bony the highest earner in Graham Potter’s squad, picking up £100,000 a week according to Wales Online, it is perhaps no surprise that Swansea are willing to listen to offers in the January transfer window.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who believe the South Wales side have already informed the Ivory Coast international that he is free to leave before the end of the month.

It is reported that a number of clubs in China are keen to offer Bony a fresh start and could even offer him a contract that exceeds the terms he is currently on at Swansea. The burly front man could potentially join Marko Arnautovic and Mousa Dembele in the Far East.
And Bony’s exit would free up funds for new additions at a Swansea side who have been forced to operate on a shoestring in recent transfer windows.
