Fresh from a forgettable loan spell at Watford, Sunderland flop Didier Ndong could move to another Premier League side in Cardiff City.

Two Sunderland midfielders are the subject of interest from Premier League clubs right now. And, while fans will be praying that one stays, the other will surely be allowed to go.

According to Sky Sports, Brighton have seen a £2 million bid for Paddy McNair rejected. The former Manchester United man was a rare bright spark last season as Sunderland finished bottom of the Championship, scoring four goals in his final five games of the campaign.

Sunderland would love to keep hold of McNair but the same cannot be said for Didier Ndong.

According to Gabonese publication iSport, Sunderland’s £13.6 million record signing is under consideration by Premier League newcomers Cardiff City. Ndong has no plans to play League One football on Wearside next season and it seems the Bluebirds have emerged as his most likely destination.

Lyon are also allegedly keen on the former Lorient midfielder but, according to iSport, the Gabon international has no intention of a return to France.

Ndong spent the last four months on loan at Watford in the Premier League. Sunderland were desperate to sell and let him leave for Vicarage Road on a temporary basis, with the possibility of an £8 million permanent deal.

But Ndong failed to make a single appearance in Watford colours, with manager Javi Gracia seemingly feeling that he was not up to the required standard.

With Sunderland keen to get rid, they will be hoping that Cardiff boss Neil Warnock rates Ndong a little higher.
