Jimmy Dunne is reportedly on his way to League One challengers Sunderland after an impressive spell in the Scottish Premiership with Hearts.

Sunderland look set to add another centre-back to their promotion-chasing squad.
Jimmy Dunne spent the first half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Hearts from Premier League outfit Burnley and it seems he is now set for another temporary spell away from Turf Moor.
According to the Chronicle, the 21-year-old centre-back is closing in on a move to the Stadium of Light with Sunderland manager Jack Ross making it clear that he wanted to add another defender to his ranks.
The former St Mirren boss even admitted last week that he was hopeful of sealing a deal for a new defensive signing in the coming days and, according to the Chronicle, he is now set to get his man.

Dundalk-born Dunne, who has featured for the Republic of Ireland at U21 level, started his career with Manchester United before moving to Burnley. He is yet to make a single first-team appearance for Sean Dyche’s side, however, in two-and-a-half years at Turf Moor.
And Dunne’s impending arrival at Sunderland is set to take some of the pressure off regular centre-back pairing Tom Flanagan and Jack Baldwin.
