Herbie Kane is reportedly a target for League One trio Sunderland, Coventry City and Pompey but will Jurgen Klopp let him leave Liverpool?

Sunderland are interested in signing highly-rated Liverpool midfielder Herbie Kane on loan, according to the News. Unfortunately, so do League One rivals Portsmouth and Coventry City.
A 20-year-old midfielder who grew up idolising Steven Gerrard, Kane has already proven his talent at League One level. He was a revelation during a spell at Doncaster Rovers last season, scoring seven goals and finishing in the division’s Team of the Year thanks to his dynamic displays in the centre of the park.
A certain Anfield legend would be proud.
With a place in Liverpool’s star-studded engine room still out of reach, speculation is rife that Kane will be farmed out on loan once again.
Despite boasting a multitude of midfield options, Sunderland are apparently interested in luring the former Bristol City youngster to the Stadium of Light before the transfer window shuts. Portsmouth and Coventry would also love to play a role in Kane’s development.
Whether a move will be sanctioned, however, remains to be seen.

The News suggests that Liverpool want to keep Kane at Anfield to play a part in their Carabao Cup campaign as Jurgen Klopp looks to compete on a variety of fronts in the months ahead. This suggests that a first-team debut for the Champions of Europe is only a matter of time.
But would Kane be better off making the odd midweek cameo in the famous red shirt or playing week-in-week-out at Sunderland, Portsmouth or Coventry?
