Championship trio Swansea City, Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers are reportedly keen on Cotterill while League One Sunderland are in the race too.

After a very brief spell in the Indian Super League with Atletico de Kolkata, where he made just three appearances, David Cotterill is expected to return to English football and he is not short of offers.
Interestingly, Swansea City are also understood to be thinking about the 24-time Wales international. Cotterill played at the Liberty Stadium between 2009 and 2012, helping Swansea earn promotion to the Premier League seven years ago.

His return would be a big shock but perhaps a welcome boost to the Swans, particularly amid reports from Sky Sports that influential attacker Jordan Ayew has been the subject of an £8 million bid from Fulham.
For Sunderland, however, this is the second time they have been linked with Cotterill in recent months.

Cotterill has the potential to be a fine addition at League One level. In his last season in the third tier, he scored 10 goals for Doncaster Rovers and was included in the 2012/13 League One Team of the Season.
