West Bromwich Albion have signed two goalkeepers this summer but what about Sheffield United shot-stopper Simon Moore?

Sheffield United fans might have hoped that they would be keeping Simon Moore after all when West Bromwich Albion completed the sudden signing of Jonathan Bond on Monday afternoon.
Former England youth ‘keeper Bond arrived at The Hawthorns on a free transfer from League One Peterborough United and is the Baggies’ second new shot-stopper this summer. They had already paid £6 million to bring in Sam Johnstone from Manchester United.
But, according to the Birmingham Mail, West Brom’s business might not be finished just yet.
It is understood that the Midland club are also enquiring about signing Moore from Championship rivals Sheffield United, and it seems a deal could still be on the cards despite the arrivals of Johnstone and Bond.

West Brom’s goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler wants the club to bring in another potential number one to provide competition between the sticks. And it is understood that youngster Alex Palmer could be allowed to leave on loan, opening up space for a third new goalkeeper to arrive in the space of a few weeks.
28-year-old Moore started just 15 Championship games for the Blades in 2017/18 and has proved that he can be a reliable backup shot-stopper at this level. It is likely that the former Brentford and Cardiff City man would play a similar role at The Hawthorns, with Johnstone likely to be handed the starting place.
