Director of Football Victor Orta doesn’t have too many fans at Championship giants Leeds United – and a return to La Liga appears possible.

Leeds United rejoiced on Twitter when the reports broke in El Desmarque that the much-maligned director of football Victor Orta could be on his way out of Elland Road.
The report stated that La Liga outfit Deportivo La Coruna made contact with Orta in March and have set a deadline of 15th April to find a replacement for the outgoing Richard Barral.
And Twitter was overflowing with Leeds fans offering to pack Orta’s bags and drive him to the airport themselves. Though the Spaniard has brought a number of very exciting young talents into the U18 and U23 squad, the vast majority of his first-team additions have flopped.

It is understood that Depor have turned to the former Middlesbrough talentspotter after missing out on a number of their top targets.
And the report adds that Orta could be reunited with manager Fran Escriba, who he worked with him at Eibar. With seven games to go in La Liga, Deportivo are eight points adrift of safety and it seems unlikely that the current boss, Clarence Seedorf, will remain past this summer.

So it seems there is a genuine chance that Orta could leave Leeds and return to Spain.
