Former PSG, Bordeaux and France manager Laurent Blanc has been linked to Premier League Everton as a replacement for Sam Allardyce.

Could Sam Allardyce be replaced at Everton this summer by none other than Laurent Blanc?

The Frenchman has been out of work for two years now but it seems that he is ready to resume a very promising coaching career. Blanc, who won Ligue 1 titles with PSG and Bordeaux and also managed France at Euro 2012, has emerged as a shock candidate to take over at Goodison Park.

France Football (page 13, April edition) reported that there was a possibility the former Manchester United centre-back could move to Everton or Chelsea this summer.

And L’Equipe (26th April, page 18) has just added some flesh to the bones – and it makes for interesting reading if you’re an Everton fan.

It is understood that Blanc, who ended his playing career in England, is very interested in returning to the Premier League this summer as a manager.

The 52-year-old has even parted company with his long-standing representatives Alain Migliaccio and Jean-Pierre Bernes and has been reported to be considering the loud-mouthed super-agent Mino Raiola.

And this is where Everton come in. The Mirror claimed earlier this month that that Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri wants to form a relationship with Raiola in order to help bring some genuinely top class talent to Goodison Park.

Interestingly, Riola is the agent of Marcel Brands, the PSV technical director who has been heavily linked with replacing Steve Walsh as Everton’s director of football.

And the possibility of Raiola joining hands with Blanc will surely increase the speculation of one of Europe’s most respected tacticians arriving at Goodison Park.
