Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers look to have missed out on Badou Ndiaye, who reportedly wants to return to Galatasaray

Badou Ndiaye might not be signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers after all.

Fanatik claimed last month that Wolves had made a £22 million bid to sign the Senegal midfielder, just six months after he had arrived in English football with Stoke City for a fee of £14 million.

Ndiaye impressed in the Premier League with his power and energy and it seemed that he would be given the chance to stay in the top flight after Stoke suffered a heart-breaking relegation in May.

But new reports from Turkish outlet Futbol Arena suggest that Wolves have lost all hope of luring the 27-year-old to Molineux before the transfer window slams shut in early August.

It is understood that Wolves have made a new attempt to sign Ndiaye on loan from Stoke but he has rejected their proposal. Why? Because he wants to return to his former club, Galatasaray.

Ndiaye spent just half a season with the Turkish giants after joining from Osmanlispor last summer but the report claims that he is waiting to return to Istanbul. Galatasaray have made an offer to sign Ndiaye on loan for a year and hand him a contract worth around £50,000 a week.

While Wolves have managed to lure some big names to Molineux, including Rui Patricio, Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez, they simply can’t have it all.
