Emmanuel Dennis scored two Champions League goals against Real Madrid; will that pave the way for a move to the Premier League with Sheffield United?

Sheffield United made a bid for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis over the summer but, thanks to his Champions League heroics against Real Madrid, his price-tag has soared to £26 million, according to Own Goal Nigeria.
Dennis went from an unknown to the talk of Europe last week. But it wasn’t just his two goals in a dramatic 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabau that catapulted him into the mainstream, it was the way he found the net against the 13-time European champions.
The Nigerian international miscontrolled a cross and somehow bundled the ball into the net for the first, leaving Thibaut Courtois bamboozled, and then managed chipped the Real Madrid goalkeeper despite very nearly face-planting the famous Bernabau turf on his route to goal.
Dennis might have looked far from convincing but the history books saw he scored twice against Los Blancos. As a result, Brugge have raised the release clause in his contract to £26 million.

The report claims that Sheffield United, as well as Monaco, both made bids for the former Zorya Luhansk youngster over the summer, when he was rated at just £13 million. Now, his market value has doubled.
It remains to be seen whether Sheffield United make another move in January but, with The Blades lacking a bit of cutting edge, it would be no surprise. Dennis’s speed and movement makes him a perfect fit for Chris Wilder’s system and those two goals against Madrid make up just a fraction of his seasonal tally of six so far.
