Pompey star Jamal Lowe has been linked with Championship clubs Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough and Cardiff City.

Portsmouth will demand ‘significantly’ higher than £2 million for star attacker Jamal Lowe this summer, according to the News, with Leeds United and Cardiff City among those linked with the forward.

Sky Sports reported last week that Marcelo Bielsa’s side were battling the Bluebirds and Wigan Athletic for the highly-rated Lowe, who shone as Pompey narrowly missed out on a return to the Championship this season.

The 24-year-old, who joined Portsmouth from Hampton and Richmond Borough two years ago, produced 17 goals and nine assists for Kenny Jackett’s side across 2018/19.

And the 2008 FA Cup winners are in no mood to let Lowe leave on the cheap despite suggestions that he could be available for a cut-price fee.

The News claims that Portsmouth have no intention of letting the versatile forward leave Fratton Park and they will demand far more than the £2 million fee that has been quoted by some publications.

According to the Daily Star, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough are also competing to bring Lowe to the Championship.

And Pompey are taking a risk given that his contract expires in 2020.
