The Manchester United defender spent the whole of last season on loan at Premier League opponents Crystal Palace.
Two of Crystal Palace’s biggest signings last season were loanees.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek was fantastic during his spell at Selhurst Park from Chelsea, his performances even earning him a place in England’s World Cup squad over in Russia.
The Standard claims that Palace manager Roy Hodgson would love to bring Loftus-Cheek back next season but will have to wait and see what his Chelsea counterpart Maurizio Sarri is planning for the young midfielder.
On the contrary, however, it seems that Crystal Palace have no hope whatsoever of seeing Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the blue and red stripes again.
The 20-year-old Dutchman made 17 Premier League starts for Palace in 2017/18, impressing either at right-back or centre-half. But Fosu-Mensah lost his place in the XI once Aaron Win-Bissaka emerged after the turn of the year.
And it seems that Hodgson’s decision to play Fosu-Mensah just once in the last three months of the season has put the former Ajax youngster off a second spell at Selhurst Park.
The Manchester Evening News report that he is determined to secure another loan move away from Manchester United but doesn’t want to return to Crystal Palace this summer.
Super Deporte claimed last week that Valencia had identified Fosu-Mensah as a potential addition at right back but they have now signed Cristiano Piccini from Sporting Lisbon. So it remains to be seen where the Holland international ends up.
