Will Premier League strugglers Huddersfield Town really sell Alex Pritchard to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window?
Huddersfield Town paid Norwich City £11 million for Alex Pritchard in the 2018 January transfer window. But, just 12 months on, would David Wagner’s side be willing to sell the winger for a minor profit with their Premier League status on the line?
Surely the Terriers are in no position to cash in on one of their few dangerous attacking options. But that has not stopped Wolverhampton Wanderers from expressing an interest in a player they have tracked since 2013, according to the Mirror (live blog, 2.18pm).
But how much are Wolves willing to pay?
Well, the Sun (7 December, page 63) believes that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are ready to make a bid of £15 million for Pritchard, with the manager keen to add more competition to his attack.
Unsurprisingly, the Sun adds that Huddersfield counterpart David Wagner is not exactly hoping to cash in on Pritchard midway through an already challenging season.
So Wolves may be forced to offer a bit more than £15 million to get their man.
The 25-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has scored once in 12 Premier League games this season.
