Salomon Rondon has scored nine Premier League goals on loan at Newcastle United.

Newcastle United are only willing to pay £12 million to sign Salomon Rondon this summer, as reported by the Mail.
The Venezuelan international joined the Magpies on loan from West Bromwich Albion last summer and he has worn the club’s famous number nine shirt with pride, scoring nine Premier League goals while proving to be a major upgrade on Joselu and co.
But doubts persist about whether he will still be a Newcastle player next season. Rondon has a £16.5 million release clause in his contract, a fee owner Mike Ashley would surely be able to pay if he put his mind to it.
The Mail claims that Newcastle are unwilling to offer more than £12 million, however, for a striker who will be a free agent in the summer of 2020.

Ashley famously operates a policy of signing younger players with the aim of selling them on for a profit and he will be aware that Rondon, who turns 30 in September, could have a limited re-sale value.
This should open the door for West Ham United, then, who are also interested in Rondon according to the Northern Echo. The Daily Star claims that he is also a target for Everton.
