Huddersfield Town have reportedly made Lee Bowyer their top target as the Championship strugglers look to replace Jan Siewert.

Lee Bowyer is set to reject the chance to take over at Huddersfield Town as he wants to stay at Charlton Athletic instead, according to the Mirror.
And, to be honest, who can blame him. Six games into the new Championship season, Bowyer has led newly-promoted Charlton to second in the table.
Despite losing key men Joe Aribo, Patrick Bauer and Anfernee Dijksteel, not to mention the spectre of Roland Duchatalet hanging over the Valley, Bowyer continues to thrive in his first ever managerial role.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, are 21 places and 13 points worse off. The Terriers are in crisis right now and things haven’t got much better since the sacking of the unpopular Jan Siewert after August’s 2-1 home defeat to Fulham.

The Mirror claims that Huddersfield have made Bowyer their number one target with the former Leeds midfielder’s tendency to get the best out of limited resources surely catching the eye. Bowyer also got the best out of Huddersfield striker Karlan Grant during their time together in London.
But, after fighting tooth and nail to keep his job during a summer of uncertainty, the former England international isn’t going to walk away from a Charlton side dreaming of a return to the Premier League after 14 years away.
