Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United reportedly want to bring Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 enforcer Sissoko to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

Strasbourg star Ibrahima Sissoko thinks Newcastle United are a ‘very interesting club’ amid claims that the midfielder could be on his way to St James’ Park in the January transfer window, as reported by the Chronicle.
After a dismal start to the season which has included just two wins in ten Premier League games, under-fire manager Steve Bruce is under pressure to turn things around and fast.
Fortunately, he will have money to spend, the report adds, with Bruce eyeing two or three high-quality additions who can make a big impact in the starting XI.
Sissoko might just fit the bill.
The Sun claimed earlier in the week that Newcastle were ready to pay £13 million to bring the France U21 international to Tyneside.

A 6ft 4ins enforcer who is at his best when breaking up play before starting attacks with his intelligent distribution, Sissoko could add some steel in front of a vulnerable defence. The fact he is just 22 will appeal to owner Mike Ashley, given his obsession with re-sale value.
And, according to The Chronicle, Sissoko’s representatives have made it clear that the player views Newcastle as a ‘very interesting club’. Although, with interest from other, unnamed English clubs, he is in no hurry to make a decision about his future.
