Wolverhampton Wanderers signed young striker Rafa Mir from Valencia in the January transfer window.

Rafa Mir made just two substitute appearances after joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in January from Valencia. But he has set about showing why the Black Country club decided to sign him since returning to Spain on loan with Las Palmas.

Mir has scored four goals in seven starts in the Spanish second tier and also netted three times in two games for Spain’s U21s during the recent international break.

As a result, the 21-year-old’s form appears to have cast his future at Molineux into doubt. La Provincia reports that Sevilla are interested in signing Mir should Wolves decide to cash in.

Sevilla are currently third in the La Liga table, having made an impressive start to the season under the former Girona coach Pablo Machin.

The report adds that Las Palmas would love to sign Mir permanently should they earn promotion back to the top flight after one season away. The Canary Islands club are fifth right now, six points adrift of leaders Malaga.

Wolves could make a healthy profit if they decide to sell Mir in 2019. La Provincia reports that his value now stands at £9 million, around £7.5 million more than Wolves paid nine months ago.
