Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Burnley reportedly want Everton right-back Jonjoe Kenny but is he heading to the Bundesliga instead?

Everton are willing to let Jonjoe Kenny leave on loan this summer, with Sky Sports claiming that Schalke are leading the race for his signature ahead of Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Burnley.

The Liverpool-born 22-year-old was part of the Everton team who won the Premier League 2 title in 2017 alongside the likes of Tom Davies and Mason Holgate and he has since made his mark at first-team level.

But Kenny made just nine Premier League appearances in 2018/19 once Seamus Coleman returned from a long-term injury to re-establish himself at right-back.

With Everton being linked with a number of other right sided defenders, Sky claims that Kenny will be allowed to leave on loan for the 2019/20 season.

Burnley and Crystal Palace were hoping to bring the England U21 international to Turf Moor and Selhurst Park respectively but the report adds that Bundesliga outfit Schalke are currently at the front of the queue.

The Gelsenkirchen giants endured a miserable season, finishing 14th in the Bundesliga and just five points clear of the relegation play-off spot. They also lost 10-2 on aggregate to Manchester City in the Champions League knockout stage.
