Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly hoping to sell Daniel Sturridge this summer but where will the former England striker end up?
It is a sad state of affairs that a fee of £15 million looks far too pricy for Daniel Sturridge in today’s market.
That is hardly an eye-watering fee in 2018. Middlesbrough paid the same price to sign Britt Assombalonga last year after all. But it seems that relentless injury problems and a sharp decline in form has severely damaged Sturridge’s reputation.
Fanatik are reporting that Liverpool are yet to receive a single offer for the 28-year-old and have therefore decided to slash his price-tag by half. Any interested club, if there is any out there, can now hope to sign Sturridge for around £7.5 million.
Fanatik understand that Besiktas are considering a move and are set for talks with Liverpool though it is uncertain whether this would be a permanent or temporary deal.
Since scoring 21 goals in 26 starts during that thrilling 2013/14 season at Anfield, Sturridge has been included in the XI just 30 times in the Premier League for The Reds.
A hamstring injury restricted him to just six games on loan at West Brom from January to May, during which the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker failed to score a single goal.
