Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly scouting Leicester City’s Premier League starlet James Maddison, with Christian Eriksen possibly on his way to Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur have identified James Maddison as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen but Brendan Rodgers is desperate to keep the midfielder at Leicester City, according to the Sun (28 February, page 55).
Maddison moved to the King Power Stadium from Norwich City in July and has silenced those who questioned his £20 million price tag with a series of fabulous performances in his first Premier League campaign.
The former Coventry City play-maker has scored five goals and provided five more assists so far.
As a result, a Tottenham side who were interested before he moved to the Midlands have been keeping tabs amid doubts about the future of Denmark international Eriksen, who has just one year left on his contract in North London.

But Spurs will face a challenge if they try to lure Maddison to their space-age new stadium in the summer. The Sun claims that Rodgers sees the 22-year-old as a key part of his plans going forward which is little surprise really.
Blessed with the ability to unlock a defence at will, Maddison is the perfect midfielder for a manager who likes his side to dominate possession and create chances aplenty.
Leicester will want to show Rodgers plenty of backing early on and keeping Maddison at the King Power would be a real statement.
