Aberdeen made a January move to sign Kenny Miller from Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers with Dons manager Derek McInnes a big fan.

Kenny Miller’s third spell at Rangers will not have a fairytale ending.
The 38-year-old striker is out of contract this summer and now looks all but certain to depart after being suspended for allegedly criticising manager Graeme Murty following Sunday’s 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final hammering at Celtic.

Though at least the veteran striker can take heart in knowing that there are other clubs willing to offer him the chance to extend his career. The Scottish Sun state that Motherwell and Hibernian could offer Miller the chance to stay in Scotland’s top flight.
But it is interesting to wonder whether Miller could leave Rangers and sign for their closest rivals for second place – Aberdeen.

And it is understood that Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes would be keen to revisit the idea when Miller becomes a free agent as he is a big fan of the veteran centre-forward and values the experience he would bring to the frontline.
As it stands, Aberdeen and Rangers are level in second place, three points clear of Hibernian.
