Rangers’ fourth bid for Graham Dorrans has once again fallen short of Norwich City’s asking price – but it appears a deal is close nonetheless.
Graham Dorrans
Whisper it, but it appears that Graham Dorrans is finally edging closer to a dream move to boyhood club Rangers.
According to The Express, Gers manager Pedro Caixinha is hoping to seal a deal for the Norwich City midfielder within the next 24 hours with Dorrans even willing to take a substantial pay cut to swap the English second tier for the Scottish first.
Rangers have had three bids rejected by The Canaries already this window but the report claims that the club have made their biggest offer yet – just over £1.3 million.
And the report claims the offer will be discussed by the Norwich hierarchy while Caixinha is hopeful the bid will be enough to convince them to sell.

Yet, it’s well established that The Canaries want £1.5 million for the Scotland international, who netted six goals from midfield last season despite missing three months of the campaign with injury, as reported by the Daily Record.
Therefore, this may be the fourth offer made by Rangers that falls short of their valuation. However, with Norwich director of football Stuart Webber presiding over huge changes to the playing staff, letting the likes of Michael Turner and John Ruddy leave on frees, you wonder whether he will accept the offer just to get another high-earner off the club’s books.

Rangers have already made a massive eight signings this summer as Caixinha overhauls his squad – but Dorrans could be the marquee signing that adds real star quality to his team.
