Jason Cummings is expected to leave Championship club Nottingham Forest this summer with a permanent move to Rangers on the cards.

Jason Cummings might have scored just twice in 14 Scottish Premiership matches since he joined Rangers on loan from Nottingham Forest in January, but it seems that the Glasgow giants are still keen to tie the 22-year-old down to a permanent deal.
It had been reported by the Daily Record that Rangers have the option to sign Cummings at the end of his temporary spell at Ibrox and the striker was expected to cost around £1 million; the same fee Forest paid to sign him from Hibernian last summer.

Rangers have already been very busy in their preparations for next season, hiring Steven Gerrard as the shock replacement for Pedro Caixinha in the dugout and agreeing a deal to sign Scott Arfield on a free transfer from Burnley.

But it remains to be seen whether Forest will accept a reduced fee for Cummings just one year after they invested a seven figure sum.
