Charlie Allen is reportedly a target for Premier League giants Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Leicester City too.

Charlie Allen is a target for Leeds United, Celtic and Rangers among many others, with the Belfast Telegraph reporting that the Linfield wonder-kid is set to become the youngest British player to ever feature in a Champions League match.

The teenage midfielder has recently been promoted to Linfield’s first-team squad and his rapid rise has not gone unnoticed.

Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and Rangers are always scouring the UK for promising young talents and it is no surprise that Allen, who could make history in the Champions League qualifier against Rosenborg this week, has registered on their radar.

The Belfast Telegraph report that Leeds are also keeping close tabs on Allen. Given that so many players have risen through the ranks at Elland Road before sealing moves to the Premier League, Jack Clarke becoming the latest recently when he agreed a move to Tottenham Hotspur, West Yorkshire could be the perfect destination for this precocious talent.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Leicester City and Spurs themselves are all interested too.

“There’s massive interest in Charlie,” said Linfield chairman Roy McGivern. “Such is Charlie’s talent, he’s good enough to go across the water in the future and have his pick of clubs.”

Interestingly, Linfield’s current manager is a man Leeds and Rangers fans will know well. Northern Ireland legend David Healy played for both clubs towards the end of his on-pitch career and they will be hoping that the 39-year-old talks up a move to Elland Road or Ibrox for the much-coveted Allen.
