Former Derby County and Watford starlets Lewis Walker and Charlie Rowan have been on trial with Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
Queens Park Rangers will not be able to sign any new players in the January window due to a transfer embargo that has been forced upon Steve McClaren’s side.
But that does not stop QPR from handing contracts to two exciting youngsters who have recently impressed on a trial period with the Championship side.
Lewis Walker and Charlie Rowan have been training with QPR after being released by Derby County and Watford respectively. And, according to West London Sport, the duo will now be rewarded with one year deals at Loftus Road.
Walker, the son of Nottingham Forest legend Des and the brother of Mansfield Town loanee Tyler, is a 19-year-old forward who failed to make a single first-team appearance for Derby since arriving from non-league Ilkeston Town in 2016.
Versatile defender Ronan, meanwhile, has not played a professional game in his entire career and recently spent time with Torino after his spell at Watford came to an end.
Walker and Ronan are expected to play for QPR’s development side for now, meaning under-fire boss McClaren must make do with the tools at his disposal.
