Heinz Lindner is without a club but Mark Warburton has reportedly offered him a trial at Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.

Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing free agent goalkeeper Heinz Lindner with the Austrian international expected to join Mark Warburton’s side on a week-long trial, as reported by the Daily Mail.
At the age of 29, Lindner finds himself at something of a career crossroads. A shot-stopper who has earned 22 caps for his country is still a free agent weeks into the 2019/20 season after leaving Swiss outfit Grasshoppers Zurich over the summer.
But, according to The Mail, the former Eintracht Frankfurt ‘keeper could be on his way to England with QPR taking an interest. The report adds that Warburton, who has done a fine job since taking over at Loftus Road, has invited Lindner for a short-term trial with the Championship high flyers.
Now, this comes just days after QPR number one Joe Lumley made a horrible mistake in a 3-2 victory over Luton Town, gifting Harry Cornick a goal with a miscued clearance. Coincidence? Surely not.

QPR also have former Rangers and Livingston goalkeeper Liam Kelly waiting in the wings but could the summer signing fall to third choice in the pecking order?
It feels unlikely that QPR would sign an established international custodian only to put him on the bench.
