Schelotto hasn’t made a Premier League apearance for Brighton and Hove Albion this season and could join Queens Park Rangers’ Championship challenge.
Ezequiel Schelotto was Brighton and Hove Albion’s first choice right-back for much of last season but he has found game time much harder to come by this time around.
The former Inter Milan and Sporting Lisbon wide man has not made a single appearance for Chris Hughton’s side in 2018/19 after the arrival of Spaniard Martin Montoya from Valencia and Bernardo from RB Leipzig.
And, according to Tuttomercatoweb, Brighton have now given Schelotto the green light to bid farewell to the Amex before the end of the month.
It is understood that the Italian could be on his way to the Championship with Queens Park Rangers in discussions over a potential January move. Steve McClaren’s side, however, will face competition from SPAL with Schelotto offered a return to his homeland.
36-year-old Angel Rangel has been QPR’s first-choice right-back this season and the experienced defender committed his future to Loftus Road by recently extending a contract that was due to expire at the start of this month.
So there is no guarantee that Schelotto, who moved to Brighton for £2.5 million in 2017 (Goal), would be a regular starter in West London either.
