Mehmet Topal could finally be on his way to England with Championship strugglers Queens Park Rangers reportedly interested.

Queens Park Rangers could do with a bit of good news after a nightmare three day spell in which they have lost 7-1 to West Brom and 3-0 at home to Bristol City.
And Fotomac have provided exactly that. According to their report, QPR want to sign the experienced Turkish international Mehmet Topal on a season-long loan.
The 32-year-old has been playing in the Super Lig for Fenerbahce since 2012. And it is claimed that QPR have requested a meeting with Phillip Cocu’s side to discuss the possibility of offering Topal a move to Loftus Road.
A defensive midfielder with 78 caps for his country, Topal has been linked with a move to England on numerous occasions over the years. And Fotomac suggests that the former Valencia and Galatasaray enforcer would be keen on trying his hand in Britain before the end of his career.

It would be a surprise if Fenerbahce were to let Topal go, however. The veteran remains a key component of Fener’s side, starting 27 league games last season, and his experience is vital in a youthful squad.
Steve McClaren’s QPR are also hopeful of adding to their attacking ranks before the end of August. The Sun claims that they are set to sign Nahki Wells on loan from Burnley and Brighton target-man Tomer Hemed.
