Nottingham Forest have been tipped to sign Sam Byram from Premier League outfit West Ham United for almost a month now.

It has been almost a month now since The Sun claimed that Nottingham Forest were set to sign Sam Byram on loan from West Ham United.
It is reported that the 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the London Stadium after the arrival of Ryan Fredericks, meaning he is likely to be third place behind the former Fulham man and Pablo Zabaleta.
And the Sun had stated that Aitor Karanka had pounced to bring Byram to the City Ground. Those reports, however, seemed to prove premature as the former Leeds United favourite is still not a Forest player.
Though there is still time in the window yet.
The Nottingham Post is reporting that Karanka has a few priorities left at the end of a busy transfer window and one of those is bringing in a new right-back. And the Post points out that Byram is still Forest’s top target, even if some fans might have given up hope about his potential move to the east Midlands.

Byram shone at Championship level with Leeds and, although he struggled to make the step up with West Ham, should prove to be a fine addition at the City Ground.
Byram would replace the USA international Eric Lichaj, who recently left for Hull City.
