Fulham were reportedly keen to land Bakayoko on loan from Premier League rivals Chelsea but the midfielder is finally starring in Serie A with AC Milan.

Fulham are reportedly keen to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko in the January transfer window – despite his high-profile struggles a few miles down the road in West London.
Local rivals Chelsea paid Monaco £36 million for the rangy French midfielder in the summer of 2017 (The Telegraph) but his debut season at Stamford Bridge hardly lived up to expectations.
In fact, Bakayoko was so disappointing that Maurizio Sarri farmed him out on loan at AC Milan almost immediately after replacing Antonio Conte.
And with Bakayoko’s struggles continuing in Milan, Calciomercato reported at the start of November that Fulham were keen to bring him back to the capital with the Serie A giants looking likely, at the time, to cut his season-long loan deal short.

Just a few weeks later, however, it seems that The Cottagers’ hopes appear to have taken a hit. Out of nowhere, Bakayoko has suddenly become a key player for Milan, the 24-year-old producing his best performance in red and black during the 1-1 draw with Lazio on Sunday in which he was named the Man of the Match.
All of a sudden, Milan have decided that they want to buy Bakayoko (Calciomercato).
The Rossoneri have the option to make his loan deal permanent but the report adds, however, that the former European champions want a discount on Bakayoko’s £30 million fee – so Fulham should watch the situation closely in case Milan are priced out.
