Kortney Hause’s future is up in the air and Championship duo Aston Villa and West Brom are linked with the Wolverhampton Wanderers defender.

It is looking increasingly likely that Kortney Hause will bring an end to his long association with Wolverhampton Wanderers this month.
The England U21 defender has fallen down the pecking order at Molineux since Nuno Espirito Santo took over in 2016 and has been tipped to join one of Wolves’ Midland rivals.
According to the Mail, Aston Villa have been in talks with Hause, who is valued at £4 million, although West Brom are understood to have made a move to snap up the 23-year-old on Thursday evening.
On Friday, the Birmingham Mail has shed more light on the situation, and suggested that Aston Villa have identified Hause as a potential solution to a long-standing problem position.
It is understood that the Midland club see the 23-year-old as an option at left-back as well as centre-half, perhaps explaining why Dean Smith is keen to bring him in.

Villa have been short of options at left-back all season after missing out on a number of targets in the summer, leaving Alan Hutton to fill in on the opposite flank. A new centre-back would be welcome, too, given that Axel Tuanzebe has recently undergone surgery on a foot injury.
Although the report claims that clubs other than West Brom are trying to hijack Aston Villa’s move, meaning Hause is far from guaranteed to be wearing claret and blue.
