Andre Gomes has shone since moving to the Premier League with Everton, but will he return to La Liga champions Barcelona.
Fans and club legends alike have taken to social media and radio stations to implore Everton to sign Andre Gomes after the Merseyside derby.
The Barcelona loanee was arguably the biggest plus point of a game Everton lost in the 96th minute thanks to a Jordan Pickford howler, dominating the midfield battle and looking a class above once again.
In quotes reported by BBC Merseyside, director of football Marcel Brands admitted last week that the Toffees are determined to keep Gomes at Goodison Park on a permanent basis.

It is understood that Everton believe Gomes has no interest in returning to Barcelona after two nightmare years at the Camp Nou, during which the former Valencia man was frequently booed by his own supporters and described his situation as ‘hell’.
And the Toffees are hoping that this will aid their chances of keeping Gomes in the North West for the long term, believing that he would be open to signing a permanent contract.
How much Everton would have to pay for the 2016 European Championship winner remains to be seen, but the Times add that Barcelona want to recoup the £29 million they paid for Gomes’s signature two-and-a-half years ago.
