Sunderland have had a bid rejected for Cheltenham Town striker Mo Eisa and now League One competitors Portsmouth have moved in.

Sunderland will be sick to death of missing out on strikers.
The Black Cats have already seen Lyle Taylor join Charlton Athletic and Gavin Reilly move to Bristol Rovers, despite the prospect of reuniting with his former Sunderland boss Jack Ross at the Stadium of Light.
And The Sunderland Echo claimed last month that Sunderland were willing to pay a seven figure sum to sign the prolific Swiss frontman Florian Kamberi – only for the 23-year-old to make his loan spell at Hibernian permanent.
Now, could history be about to repeat itself once again?
Sky Sports reported this week that Sunderland had made a £1 million bid to sign the Cheltenham Town phenomenon Mo Eisa, who scored 25 goals in a terrific first season in professional football in 2017/18. He moved to The Robins from Greenwich Borough a year ago.
Cheltenham rejected that bid, however, valuing Eisa closer to £1.5 million.

And new reports from Gloucester Live are stating that League One promotion rivals Portsmouth are now favourites to land the 24-year-old after Sunderland were snubbed. Pompey have made a number of bids already and it is understood that Eisa’s future could be decided in the next two days.
Missing out on Eisa, a player the Sunderland fans were desperate to see arrive, would only add to the frustration.
