Jorge Mendes could reportedly bring another Portugal star to the Premier League so will Pepe sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers in January?

Pepe will turn 36 next month and he will be fully aware that he is in last chance saloon if he wants to play Premier League football before the end of his storied career.
The former Real Madrid defender is a free agent after being released by cash-strapped Besiktas in December and, thanks to his agent Jorge Mendes, a long-awaited move to England could finally be on the cards.
Mendes has been pulling the strings at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the last two years, bringing the likes of Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Rui Patricio to Molineux.
According to Fanatik, Pepe could be the latest Portuguese international plying his trade in the famous golden kit, with Mendes trying to negotiate a deal with both parties.
It is understood that Pepe is edging closer to a move to Wolves, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side seriously considering snapping him up during the January transfer window.

Pepe, who won three La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues during almost a decade in Madrid, would be arguably the most high-profile signing Wolves have made since being taken over by Chinese billionaires Fosun International in 2016.
