It seems that Leo Bonatini has played his final Premier League game for Wolverhampton Wanderers with a move to the Greek Superleague on the cards.
Leo Bonatini has been on borrowed time at Wolverhampton Wanderers for a while now.
The Brazilian striker hasn’t scored a league goal since he netted the winner against Birmingham City in December 2017. And it is telling that he has not made a top flight appearance since coming off the bench in the 3-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur two months ago.
And reports in Greece are suggesting that Bonatini might have played his final game in Wolves colours.
SDNA have claimed that PAOK’s sporting director Marco Branco has travelled to England in order to negotiate a deal for the former Al Hilal front man.
PAOK need a replacement for their departed talisman Aleksandar Prijovic, who moved to Al Ittihad for a hefty £8.8 million this month. And it is understood that Bonatini is the number one choice to replace Prijovic at the Toumba Stadium.
Wolves paid £5 million to sign Bonatini on a permanent basis last summer after he spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Molineux, scoring 12 times as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side cruised to the Championship title.
But it has become increasingly clear that he is not cut out for Premier League football.
