Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates has been heavily tipped to leave the Championship club on loan in the summer transfer window.

Ryan Yates appears to be in a very similar position to Jorge Grant at Nottingham Forest.
Both are young midfielders who have absolutely shone in loan spells at lower league clubs, Yates at Scunthorpe and Grant down the road at Notts County. But, with Forest spending big on a number of midfielders this summer, including Benfica duo Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves, it seems that Yates’ immediate future lies away from the City Ground.
Forest have snubbed interest from Portsmouth and Bradford to sign Yates on a permanent deal according to the Mirror (live blog, 7:21), with the club expecting big things of the 20-year-old, who recently signed a new three-year deal.
But a loan move away from the East Midlands looks possible.

According to the Grimsby Telegraph, the 20-year-old will be allowed to leave this summer, but only if Aitor Karanka can bring another new midfielder to the City Ground. He is understood to still be in talks with Newcastle United’s Jack Colback.
Karanka is a huge fan of the creative talent but admits that Yates needs regular first-team football if he is to fulfil his potential, so it makes sense that he would be farmed out to another Football League club.
Expect Scunthorpe to be right at the front of the queue.
