Martyn Waghorn scored 16 Championship goals for Ipswich Town in 2017/18 and that has reportedly attracted the attention of Nottingham Forest.

Another day, another striker linked with Aitor Karanka’s Nottingham Forest.

It is understood that Karanka wants more firepower at the City Ground and could make a move for the former Sunderland and Rangers striker. Waghorn was a big hit at Ipswich after arriving from Ibrox a year ago, scoring 16 goals and setting up another 13 as the Tractor Boys finished in the Championship’s top half.
The 28-year-old also scored 44 goals in his two seasons at Rangers, locating his shooting boots relatively late in his career after erratic spells in the Championship with Wigan, Millwall, Hull, Leicester and Charlton.

The Mirror adds that Forest could look to sell Daryl Murphy in order to make room for new attacking additions.
The 35-year-old moved to the East Midlands last summer with a reputation as a reliable goal-scorer at this level but managed to hit the net just seven times, his most recent coming all the way back in November.
