It seems that Jason Cummings will not be staying at Scottish Premiership giants Rangers, with a return to the Championship and Nottingham Forest likely.

Ever since Steven Gerrard took over at Rangers, the Ibrox giants have been heavily linked with a new centre-forward.
As such, expect Rangers’ strikeforce at the start of the 2018/19 season to be very different from the one that stuttered to a third-place finish behind Celtic recently. It has been common knowledge that the veteran Kenny Miller and the out-of-favour Eduardo Herrera would be leaving this summer.

But Cummings could not recapture the form that saw him break the 20-goal barrier for three seasons in a row at Hibernian, scoring just twice in 15 Scottish Premiership games under Graeme Murty.

And the Record (live blog, 10.47pm) is reporting that Gerrard is keen to freshen up his attacking options with Cummings returning to Forest, suggesting that the former Liverpool captain does not expect him to be part of the squad next season. The report even goes so far as to say that Cummings is now gone, with his loan spell from the City Ground coming to an end.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Cummings has a future at Forest instead.
