Nottingham Forest appear to be going full-steam ahead in their attempts to raid Championship rivals Middlesbrough for left-back Fabio da Silva.

Well this came out of nowhere. Amid links with both Patrick Bamford and Adam Clayton, Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka is allegedly targeting yet another of his former Middlesbrough players in the shape of Brazilian left-back Fabio da Silva.
The former Manchester United defender was first linked with a move to the City Ground on Monday afternoon and it seems things are moving very quickly already.

Fabio was a regular under Karanka at Middlesbrough ever since making that £2 million move from Cardiff City in 2016 but he fell out of favour once Tony Pulis took over at the Riverside.
The 27-year-old did not start a single Championship game following Pulis’s arrival at Christmas and it would be little surprise if the North East giants were willing to cash in on a player who has just one year left on his contract.

Fabio, who started Manchester United’s Champions League final defeat to Barcelona in 2011, would finally give Forest a natural option at left-back.
Midfielder Ben Osborn has been forced to fill in regularly over the last few months, with Juan Fuentes sidelined with a broken leg.
