Former Manchester City and Norwich left-back Javier Garrido could return to English football with Championship giants Nottingham Forest.

Aitor Karanka really put his stamp on the Nottingham Forest squad with just hours remaining on transfer deadline day.
A total of six players arrived at the City Ground on January 31 but Forest’s recruitment has not stopped with the close of the window. Ben Watson arrived on a free transfer on Monday after being released by Watford and the experienced midfielder could yet be joined in the East Midlands by a new left-back.
The sudden exit of Armand Traore, who joined Cardiff City after his contract was terminated, means Forest are a little light on the left and Karanka himself has admitted that he will look at the free agent market to reinforce a potential problem position.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since leaving Cypriot side AEK Lanarca at the end of last season and, although his best years may be behind him, he still has plenty to offer.
Garrido is not lacking experience in English football either. He spent three years in the Premier League at the beginning of the Manchester City revolution between 2007 and 2010 and also played 46 times during a recent spell with Norwich.

The Spaniard may not have the same energy down the flanks these days, but a solid one-on-one defender who can put a ball on a sixpence would be an excellent addition for a Forest side who have even had to field diminutive play-maker Ben Osborn at left-back this season.
