Max Clark is set to leave Hull City this summer and could join Championship rivals Nottingham Forest or Millwall.

Hull City have had a difficult season in the Championship and the summer will not be any easier.

As it stands, Abel Hernandez, Michael Dawson and Allan McGregor are all set to depart the KCom Stadium when their contracts expire and they could be joined by Max Clark.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, the 22-year-old left-back is also set to become a free-agent at the end of this season and he is attracting interest from a number of rival Championship clubs, including Nottingham Forest and Millwall, who have made contact with his representatives.

Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem, who will be managed by former Tigers boss Leonid Slutsky next season, are also in the picture.

It is understood that Clark would prefer to stay with his boyhood club, who he joined at the age of 12, but there has been no movement on a new contract since September, when an initial offer of a three-year deal was rejected.

Clark would not leave on a free, as due to his age Hull would be due a compensation fee, but he would still be another big loss to a Tigers side who are set to bid farewell to a number of their star performers very soon.

Interestingly, Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka has already confirmed that he is keen to bring Dawson back to the City Ground 13 years after he left for Tottenham Hotspur.

It seems that Dawson’s defensive teammate could be joining him in the East Midlands.
