John McGinn has been linked with Celtic and Ipswich Town this window but Nottingham Forest are making a late and ambitious move.

Nottingham Forest have made excellent use of the Scottish market so far this summer.
Jason Cummings, a prolific goal-scorer for Hibernian, has maintained his purple patch in the early few weeks of his Forest career while Barrie McKay continues to show what Rangers are missing out on after moving to the City Ground for a bargain fee.

The report claims that Hibs have rejected an opening bid for Cummings’ former partner-in-crime, 22-year-old midfielder John McGinn.
The three-time Scotland international was in superb form for the Edinburgh side last season, winning the second-tier’s Player of the Year award as Hibs cruised to the Championship title.
A technically gifted and tenacious midfielder, McGinn would surely prove a perfect fit for Warburton’s easy-on-the-eye approach. However, with Hibs boss Neil Lennon determined to keep the rest of his promotion winning side together, Forest may have to pay big to get their man.

The Scottish Sun reported in June that Ipswich Town made a bid of £1.2 million for McGinn, while Scottish champions Celtic were also keen on a player manager Brendan Rodgers lauded publically last season.
The trail around McGinn had grown cold recently but, with just a few days remaining in the transfer window, Hibs will be bracing themselves for renewed speculation.
