Nottingham Forest and Derby County are reportedly battling for Peterborough United ace Maddison.

Bitter rivals Nottingham Forest and Derby County are reportedly going head-to-head for one of the most gifted attacking talents in the Football League.
The future of Peterborough United winger Marcus Maddison has been the subject of plenty of speculation recently, particularly with a release clause in his contract standing at a very affordable £2.5 million.
Nottingham Forest have been linked with Maddison, as well as his fellow Peterborough forward Jack Marriott, for a number of weeks now. And, according to the Reading Chronicle, they are now one of two sides leading the chase for the one-time Gateshead United star.

But the identity of their biggest transfer rival, however, is very interesting. Derby were frequently linked with Maddison last summer but have been largely absent from the gossip columns so far in 2018.
The Reading Chronicle, however, understands that Derby are one of two clubs leading the chase for the 24-year-old assist machine.

So there could be a tense battle developing between these two East Midland giants to sign arguably the best creative talent in League One.
Maddison scored 12 goals and set up 23 more for Peterborough in the 2017/18 season.
